Information Collection and Use
Information we collect from You
The information we collect includes your name, billing address, service address, utility account number, billing and payment information, your signature, telephone number, e-mail address, and other information provided by you in the disclosure form, subscription agreement, or in communications with you pertaining to your account. If you do not provide this information, you may not be able to purchase products or services from us.
Information we collect when you provide voluntary information
You may contact us or request that we contact you regarding our products and services and you may provide certain information such as name, title, organization name, email address, phone number, and your utility account number and information about electricity usage.
Information Provided by Others
We may obtain information on your electricity usage, utility account, and eligibility for programs from your electric utility company. We may obtain personally identifiable credit information, including FICO scores, from third party consumer reporting agencies. We also obtain your information from third-party service providers and agents who assist us in identifying prospective customers and enrolling them in our subscription service.
Information We Collect Through Technology
We may collect information about you through technology. For example, we may collect your IP address each time you request a page during a visit to our website. An IP address is often associated with the portal through which you enter the Internet. At times, we may also use IP addresses to collect information regarding the frequency with which users browse various parts of our website.
Our website may also use other technical methods to track and analyze the traffic patterns on the site, such as the frequency with which our users visit various parts of the website. Information Use & Sharing
In providing services to you, we may share your information with our affiliated companies and with our service providers, which help us identify prospective customers and determine their eligibility to receive our services and manage our accounts, with the utility to confirm your energy usage and account and billing information, and with third party credit reporting services to perform a credit check. We may use your personal information to handle complaints and dispute resolution, in order to respond to your requests or resolve any complaints raised by you. We may also use other service providers to facilitate our services from time to time. These companies and individuals may have access to your personally identifiable information, as needed to perform their functions, but they may not use if for any other purpose.
We will not use information obtained about you that is contained in any consumer report provided to us by a consumer reporting agency for any purpose other than to determine your eligibility to receive utility solar credits and comply with applicable law. We will not sell, trade, or rent to others any personally identifiable information provided by you or provided to us by a consumer reporting agency or the utility company. We may, however, disclose such personally identifiable information to our service providers who help us identify, enroll, and manage subscribers and/or provide billing and payment services. We also may disclose personally identifiable information when we believe in good faith that it is required to be disclosed to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, by law or by an appropriate law enforcement or governmental authority.
Non-personally identifiable information is information that does not personally identify you, including anonymous information and aggregate data. We may use non-personally identifiable information for any lawful purpose, including, without limitation, to understand better how our visitors use our website, research our visitors’ demographics, interests, and behavior, improve the Site, provide visitors with customized services and information, and for other similar purposes. We may combine non-personally identifiable information with personally identifiable information. We may share this combined personally identifiable information with others, including our affiliates and our service providers for the purpose of marketing and promoting our products and services, and may use this information in any manner permitted by law.
Modern Renewables or its agents or service providers may also periodically send promotional emails about our products and services to you if we collect your email information. Modern Renewables may use agents or other service providers to assist with its marketing campaigns. Such agents and service providers will be bound by a contractual agreement which covers security and limits the use of your personal information to the intended Modern Renewables communications.
As we develop our businesses, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, sale of assets, dissolution, or similar event, your information may be part of the transferred assets.

Your personal information may be stored on a database system owned and maintained by our service providers. Payment information (e.g., ACH numbers, credit card numbers) will be stored on third party payment systems such as Stripe payments.
Information may be copied, stored, and retained on our database servers or as part of our normal backup processes. Servers and backup information is subject to physical, electronic, and managerial security measures and access is restricted to authorized IT associates.
Your Rights and Choices
Right to Opt-Out.
You have the right to opt-out of receiving promotional communications from us at any time by updating your email preferences by using the “Unsubscribe” link found in the emails. You may also update, modify or correct the information or request that such information be removed from our databases by contacting us (see How to Contact Us below).
If you wish for us to contact you regarding our products and services, but do not wish to provide contact information by email or through the contact form on our website, you may contact us via phone (see How to Contact Us below).
